And just like that, it’s already March ~ so crazy! March is an exciting month though, because it includes the beginning of spring and, this year, Easter! For me personally, March is a big month because my thesis is due at the end of it… eeek! So on one hand, I’m looking forward to this new month, while on the other hand, I’m bracing myself a bit!
With a new month comes a new set of monthly goals. I mentioned in this post and in this post, 2016 is all about focus for me, and about delighting in being a student. To help myself grow in these ways, I’m setting concrete, baby-steps goals for myself in some key areas of my life. This includes monthly goals, which I started in February and which I share here on the blog, partially to hold myself accountable and also in hopes that it will encourage you in your goals too!
Academic Goals:
And now, here are my academic, personal, and spiritual goals for March:
Academic Goal: Work on, write, and finish my thesis.
It’s getting down to crunch time, guys: my thesis is due right before Easter. So I need to renew my February goal of working on my thesis every day, and take it up a notch. I want to, and need to, put work into this paper every day, write it, and finish it!
Personal Goal: Try a capsule wardrobe.
I’ve been thinking about and looking into the idea of a capsule wardrobe lately, and I’ve decided I want to give it a try! It’ll have to wait until I get back from spring break (which I’m currently home for), but I’ll jump into it as soon as I can. Hopefully I’ll post about it here on the blog along the way!
Spiritual Goal: Finish out Lent strong and celebrate Easter.
I want to stay strong these last few weeks of Lent, continuing to stick to my resolutions and striving to grow spiritually. I want to maintain a disciplined, penitential, and meditative spirit to prepare for Christ’s passion and death. Then when Easter comes, I will rejoice in and celebrate his resurrection with great joy. (Can’t wait!)
I can't wait to read more about your capsule wardrobe experience! I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe, I just don't know how to go about getting one.
It just hit me as I read your post – Easter is this month & that means warm weather too! Whoop! Great goals, hope March goes well for you! 🙂
Great job on your goal to limit your spending!!
I am also looking forward to reading about your capsule wardrobe. I'm intrigued, but don't know if I would ever take the time to do it.
Great goals! I've been trying to limit my unnecessary spending too, it's hard but so worth it right?!

Thank you, Emily! 🙂 I'm a little nervous about trying a capsule wardrobe, but am intrigued by it too, and excited!!
Thanks, Annie! Yes, it can be super hard…but definitely worth it!!
I started a capsule wardrobe in the fall and loved having simple pieces that can be thrown together and still look stylish. I need to work on getting rid of clothes I didn't wear and putting together my spring capsule wardrobe. Stopping by from Grit and Grace, hope you linkup with my goals linkup and Small Victories Sunday Linkup too.
Thanks for stopping by, Tanya! That's great that you had such a good experience doing a capsule wardrobe. I'm excited to be giving it a try!
